We know that 2020 has been challenging year with the COVID19 pandemic. Our communities and businesses have been hit hard. These lockdowns in Victoria have significantly impacted on our mental health and wellbeing.
VSBA has taken the opportunity to collaborate and support our businesses and wider communities by staging this important Lunar festival. Our festival returns in 2021 by welcoming the Year of the Ox. The Ox in 2021 will feature with positive outlook, hardworking and honest.
Victoria street festival will come to life in true hawker food style focusing on the outdoor dining experience. Local restaurants will extend their trade to footpath dining, and 6 food stalls will be located along Victoria Street, each with their own dining areas. Guests will be asked to check in using the QR code system and the event will be operate under the CovidSafe event. I would like to acknowledge our Yarra partner, our local Richmond member Richard Wynne MP, our traders and sponsors and stakeholder. I would thank specially for our festival committee and contractors for bring to life this event.
It is a day for us to show their support for our medical and essential workers during the lockdown and and to commemorate people who have leave us because of the virus.
