Mid- Auntumn Festival
Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month in the lunar calendar, which falls into the middle of Autumn, corresponding to mid-September to early October in the Western Calendar with a full moon at night.
The celebration is among one of the most celebrated occasion for South Eastern countries.
On this special day, all the members of the family gather and prepare various sweets, fruit and they also prepare colourful lanterns and wear many funny masks.
The children will parade around town with their own beautiful lanterns. Lion dance and music performance is often accompany with the festival
Lanterns of all size and shapes, are carried and displayed – symbolic beacons that light people's path to prosperity and good fortune.
Visitor will experience all the wonderfull activities below
• live music and performance with theme of " Ong cu chi Hang"
• Lantern and mooncake to be distributed to the children on the night
• Lantern parade for children alongside with lion dance group
• Lanterns making classes
• Face painting
